1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using GlucoBot ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.
The App is developed and operated by Gabbo Tech ("we", "us", "our").
2. Description of Service
GlucoBot is a glucose monitoring companion app that:
- Displays continuous glucose monitor (CGM) data from third-party services such as LibreLinkUp
- Provides glucose trend visualization, statistics, and alerts
- Supports widgets, Live Activities, and Apple Watch complications
- Optionally syncs glucose data to Apple Health
GlucoBot requires an active account with a supported CGM provider to function. We are not affiliated with Abbott, FreeStyle Libre, LibreLinkUp, or any other CGM manufacturer.
3. Medical Disclaimer
GlucoBot is an informational tool only. It is not a medical device, is not FDA-approved or CE-marked for medical use, and should never be used as the sole basis for medical decisions.
- Do not rely on GlucoBot for emergency glucose alerts. Always use your CGM manufacturer's official app and receiver as your primary monitoring tool.
- Glucose data displayed in GlucoBot may be delayed, incomplete, or inaccurate due to network conditions, API limitations, or sensor issues.
- The statistics, insights, and trend information provided are for educational purposes only.
- Always verify readings with your official CGM device or a blood glucose meter before taking action.
4. Eligibility
You must be at least 17 years old to use GlucoBot. By using the App, you represent that you meet this age requirement.
5. Account and Credentials
To use GlucoBot, you must provide valid login credentials for a supported CGM service. You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the security of your CGM account credentials
- All activity that occurs through your use of the App
- Ensuring your CGM account is in good standing with your provider
We store your credentials securely (see our Privacy Policy) but are not responsible for unauthorized access resulting from compromised credentials on your end.
6. Subscriptions and Payments
Free features: GlucoBot offers core glucose monitoring features at no cost, including real-time glucose display, basic graph, trend arrows, and alerts.
GlucoBot Premium: Additional features are available through a paid subscription ("GlucoBot Premium"), which may include extended history, advanced insights, widgets, and other premium functionality.
Subscription terms:
- Subscriptions are billed through your Apple ID via the App Store
- Subscription plans and pricing are displayed in the App at the time of purchase
- Free trials, if offered, automatically convert to a paid subscription unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the trial ends
- Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period
- You can manage or cancel your subscription in your device's Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions
Refunds: All purchases are processed by Apple. Refund requests must be made through Apple's support channels. We do not process refunds directly.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
- Use the App to violate any applicable laws or regulations
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our services or systems
- Use the App on behalf of others without their knowledge or consent
- Redistribute or resell access to the App or its features
8. Third-Party Services
GlucoBot integrates with third-party services including but not limited to:
- LibreLinkUp: For retrieving CGM data (subject to Abbott's terms of service)
- Apple Health (HealthKit): For optional glucose data syncing (subject to Apple's terms)
- Apple App Store: For subscription processing (subject to Apple's terms)
We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or reliability of third-party services. Changes to third-party APIs may temporarily or permanently affect App functionality.
9. Data Accuracy and Reliability
While we strive to display glucose data accurately, we cannot guarantee:
- The accuracy or timeliness of data retrieved from your CGM provider
- Uninterrupted service or real-time data delivery
- That notifications or alerts will be delivered in all circumstances
Network issues, server maintenance, CGM provider outages, and device settings (Do Not Disturb, Low Power Mode, etc.) may affect data delivery and alerts.
10. Intellectual Property
The App, including its design, code, graphics, and content, is owned by Gabbo Tech and protected by intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:
- The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied
- We disclaim all warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement
- We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App
- Our total liability for any claim arising from the App shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the 12 months preceding the claim
- We are not liable for any health outcomes resulting from your use of or reliance on the App
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Gabbo Tech from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the App or violation of these Terms.
13. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App if you violate these Terms. You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it and, if applicable, cancelling your subscription.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the App or by updating the effective date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
15. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of the United Kingdom.
