My reminder did not arrive
Check that notifications are allowed for Bin Squad in iOS Settings, then that the reminder itself is switched on in Mission Control. Quiet hours will also hold a reminder back, so check the times there if one is set. If the collection sits inside your quiet hours, the reminder is suppressed rather than delayed.
Why has my collection not moved for the bank holiday?
Deliberately. Councils shift collections inconsistently, and some do not move them at all, so guessing would produce exactly the wrong reminder. Bin Squad shows a warning that a bank holiday is coming and lets you move that single collection yourself if yours is affected. Open the collection and choose to move it.
How do I skip or move one collection?
Open the collection from Home or the Calendar and choose to skip or move it. The underlying pattern is untouched, so the following collections carry on as normal. Every skip and move is listed with a button to undo it.
How many bins can I have?
Two on the free plan: the general waste and the recycling, which is what most households put out. That includes all the points, streaks and rewards. The Full Experience removes the limit, adds every other bin type such as garden waste, the food caddy and glass, and opens the rest of the crew.
I paid, but a new phone shows the free version
Open Mission Control and tap Restore purchases. As long as you are signed in to the same Apple Account that bought it, your Full Experience will come back. There is no account to sign in to and nothing to remember.
How do I cancel a subscription?
Subscriptions are managed by Apple, not by us. Open the Settings app, tap your name, then Subscriptions, and you can cancel or change it there. Mission Control also has a link straight to that screen. Lifetime is a single payment and does not renew, so there is nothing to cancel.
Can I get my schedule onto another phone?
Yes. Mission Control can export everything to a plain file, which you can send to whoever else in the house deals with the bins and import on their phone. Nothing is uploaded anywhere in the process.
I do not want the characters
Choose "Just the facts" in Mission Control. Plain colours, plain bin icons, no crew, no streaks and no jokes, with the same dates and the same reminders underneath. You can switch back at any time and your progress will still be there.
Does Bin Squad know my council's collection dates?
No, and it never asks where you live. Your dates come from what you enter. If something looks wrong, check with your council and update the schedule, and Bin Squad will follow it.
How do I delete my data?
Everything is stored on your device, so deleting the app removes it all. You can also clear everything from Mission Control without deleting the app.
