Bin Squad Privacy Policy

Bin Squad keeps your information on your device. There are no servers, no accounts, and we never receive a copy of anything you enter. We do not ask for your address, and the app has no way to work out where you live.

Data we collect

No personal data. There is no sign-in, no user account, no advertising and no tracking. Nothing you enter about your bins ever leaves your device.

The one exception is buying the Full Experience, which necessarily involves a record of the purchase itself. That is described under Purchases below, and it contains no personal detail.

Data you enter

Your bins, their collection schedules, the collections you have marked as done, your streak and your settings are stored on your device using Apple’s on-device storage. None of it leaves your device unless you choose to share it, for example by exporting a file and sending it to somebody else in your household.

Notifications

Reminders are scheduled locally by your device. Nothing about them is sent to us or to anyone else, and no notification is triggered from a server.

Purchases

Bin Squad is free with two bins. If you buy the Full Experience, the payment is handled by Apple and we never see your payment details. To know whether your purchase is active, the app uses RevenueCat, which processes a purchase identifier supplied by Apple on our behalf. That identifier is not linked to your name, your email address or anything you have entered into the app. No bin, schedule or reminder is ever sent with it.

Analytics & tracking

Bin Squad contains no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party tracking of any kind. Nothing you do in the app is recorded anywhere except on your own device.

Children

Bin Squad is suitable for all ages and collects nothing from anybody, including children.

Deleting your data

Everything is stored on your device, so deleting the app removes all of your Bin Squad data permanently. You can also clear everything from within the app, under Mission Control.

Collection dates & your responsibility

Bin Squad reminds you of the schedule you give it. Collection dates come from what you enter, not from your council, and the app has no connection to any council system. Bank holidays are flagged as a warning and never rescheduled automatically, because councils move collections inconsistently and a guess would produce exactly the wrong reminder.

Putting your bins out remains your responsibility. The app is provided for your own planning, without any warranty that its dates match your council's. If something looks wrong, check with your council. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer law.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it.
